What is Hypnosis?

Hypnosis is a meditative state of mind that helps to by pass consciences thoughts so unconscious ideas, thoughts, or behaviours may be accessed and changed.  It is a technique not a therapy as such.  In the treatment it is possible to uncover events from your past that may be effecting your current thoughts and life. As it deals with the unconscious mind change can happen quickly. In most cases in one session.

It is often used in conjunction with NLP, Time-Line Techniques and Alignment Therapy as a tool to facilitate quick change.  The brain interprets experiences and sometimes in a manner which is not comfortable, with hypnosis these patterns can be changed.

  • What does it feel like?

Many people describe it as a feeling of total relaxation as their mind floats to feeling and events in a calm journey. Others do not remember very much and wake up refreshed, relaxed and alert. They feel changed but do not actually remember why or how the changes came about.

  • Can I be hypnotised?

Most people go into a natural trance about every 20 minutes. This happens when driving in the car, and you don't remember how you got there. Or , you may be sitting on the train and lose all track of time as your stop approaches. Your state of mind changes as your unconscious mind takes over for your coconscious mind. People are born with the ability to be hypnotized. It is not always necessary to go into a deep trance so even if you don't believe you can he hypnotised, NLP and Time-line Techniques will be able to help you.

  • How does it work?

You are given suggestions that will change your life while you are in the meditative state. The suggestions are agreed in advance so you know exactly what will be happening. These suggestions will change your old patterns so you may re-frame the way you think and feel about past events and it will change the way you feel in you everyday life. You are in charge of what you want to change. It is up to you to decide how quickly or slowly you want to change....
